Imagine having a peaceful heart despite the chaos around you. Furthermore, imagine, knowing that when you feel at peace your skin will glow and you will feel beautiful. How I’m sure you are wondering? Let me show you with these easy to implement ideas giving you beautiful skin as well as a peaceful heart.

As you know when you are stressed it reflects in your face as well as in your heart. You close yourself off to get through the days and weeks. Your heart contracts and your face feels tight and taut. Everything feels effortful, particular when big occasions are looming, such as Christmas, a wedding, a big birthday, or any big celebration. Mind you, the size doesn’t matter. What does is the importance it holds for you.

You want to look and feel your best. You want your heart to be open at this special time. And in your heart of hearts, it doesn’t feel the way you want it to. You are too stressed making you feel anxious, worried and on edge. That, in turn, makes you feel uncomfortable with yourself and you feel unattractive or at the least not your best. A vicious cycle.

However, when you open your heart to what is and you feel at peace your life takes on a whole new dimension. Things that used to worry you, you can let go of more easily. You don’t sweat the small stuff as Richard Carlson’s famous book is called. An excellent read by the way.

What can help is stepping away, even if it’s for a few moments at a time. It would be ideal for on a holiday or even a retreat. And as the latter isn’t possible at the drop of the hat, particularly when you need to feel peace and calm right now, here are some ways to finding your inner peace that are easy to implement.

What do to that is easy with wonderful results?

pause, take a deep breath and sigh

This is so simple and all you need to do to take you out of your busy mind back into your peaceful heart. Do this numerous times a day and see how you feel. If you are at your desk, put your desktop on screen save. Or if you have a laptop shut the lid, push your chair slightly away and take a few deep breaths and sigh as you exhale. Remove yourself completely where possible, even if it’s to get a glass of water or go into another room. This connects you to your inner peace nicely and easily.This relaxes your face and the whole of your body.

use your mists

Keep one of your gorgeous mists handy and use it from time to time. Hold it over your head and allow the mist to gently land on your face and feel yourself being soothed and calmed. The Franc Rose mist is great for calming your fraught soul. And the Franc Lemongrass mist is excellent for refreshing and uplifting you. And they hold in moisture keeping your skin nicely hydrated as they both contain aloe vera.

take a moment when cleansing your face

This creates tension in our faces giving it a harried look. Not what we are wanting. Furthermore, when we slow down we not only relax our faces and our bodies, we also get to enjoy and experience our days rather than wondering where did it go? Check your diary, see what you can let go of as this will help you manage your days and slow down.

Again quick and easy to do. This is so freeing and liberating as mentioned in my previous blog. Remember, my belief is that ‘when you feel beautiful you feel free’.  And when you feel this you feel grateful. This is easy to lose sight of. It is so easy to let go when things are falling apart. In addition, it relaxes the whole of your nervous system as neurotransmitters called endorphins are released making you feel happier and more relaxed. What more could you want?
